park, reading and such

Stu is always the one taking pictures so he's not in any of these. Especially since we got a new camera! :) Here's a few pics of what we've been up to.

We are on the count down now....only 2 weeks and 4 days left until Samuel arrives!!! Can't wait to meet you little buddy.

Burke's latest favorite thing is to read on the new rocker/recliner chair we put in his room. By himself by the way. Stu and I try to sit with him and read and he sternly says 'No' and pushes us off the chair. He will seriously sit there and read for 10 minutes!

This is his new smile. He'll smile like this whenever you say 'show me your teeth' or 'cheese' or 'smile big'. It is seriously contagious.

We got this cool wood whale and hung it in the boys' room. It goes good with the map and nautical theme in there.

We have 2 quail that live in the bushes by our garage. They just had 11 babies and they waddle around our yard all the time now. They are only about 2 inches big!

Burke has a long way to go to fill Dad's shoes.


Don and Ruthie rented out a bounce house for Jake's 5 year old party. Burke was his typical self and sat on the side lines with a balloon and assessed everything for a while before he approached kids and bounced on the rides. He's so adorable that way. :)

Burke is obsessed with shoes, especially Dad's shoes. :) He is always putting them on and trying to walk around, or insisting that Stu put them on. He even puts them on the right feet most of the time. :)


Today, Burke is pretty sick. He's had a fever since yesterday morning and has a runny nose and a cough. He and I are having fun (as much as possible anyway) keeping liquids down, eating what we can and watching cartoons while he recovers. He is rarely sick and NEVER sits still long enough to watch cartoons so I am actually really enjoying the snuggle time with him. Hope he gets better soon though! :( We love you Burkey Bear.
