Many people who are out of the SLC area are asking to see more of Burke. Here is a video of Burke when his Dad gets to hold him for the first time and his Mom meets him for the first time outside of the womb.
Enjoy!

Grandpa Grater
Grandpa Grater purchased a sweet Dodge truck on KSL a few weeks ago and Stu picked it up for him. He came in town to drive home the goods and stayed with us for a few days. It was so nice spending time with him, as always. Thanks Guy for the delicious dinner at TGIF's! We love you and can't wait to see you again. Maybe next time you can leave that Raiders jacket at home though??? ;)

3 days and counting!
Well, this pregnancy is coming to a close and I have mixed emotions about it. I have loved being pregnant so much and overall have felt great, so in a way I'm going to miss it. Having a life inside of you is an amazing experience. I have really enjoyed switching the focus, in a whole new way, from myself to another human being; like 'how can I be healthier so little Burke grows the way he needs to', or 'no, I choose to keep my mouth shut right now because....well, it's not fair to snap at Stu just because I'm feeling hormonal :)'. That has worked really well by the way! :) And I love feeling the baby move, or wondering if he's sleeping when he's holding still. I can hardly believe that I'll be holding and kissing that little elbow that has jabbed me for so long, and those little feet that have endlessly kicked my belly and ribs. Although I am anxious, I feel so ready to be a Mom. I've wanted kids for so long, but the timing couldn't be better. Being married to Stu sets the 'family' foundation that I've always dreamed of. It has been so fun preparing for our baby together.... and I can't believe it's almost here! Burke we can't wait to meet you!!
From clothes and toys and a bassinet to advice and support and books, we've been showered with so many great things from friends and family to help us to be as ready as we are. Thank you to everyone, we love you!
We'll keep you posted with pictures of Burke as he arrives and grows.

Mailbox Saga
What's worse than waking up to an alarm when you're tired? Waking up to your mailbox being smashed at 6:30 in the morning. Yep, it was crazy.... Stu and I were laying peacefully in our bed when we heard the loudest crash outside our window. It sounded like a dump truck dropping a load of cement. We looked outside and saw that a white pickup truck had slid on the ice and smashed right into our beautiful red brick mailbox. Stu was worried that the guy was going to pull away so he ran out there full speed .... in nothing but his underwear .... in the snow! It was awesome. :) I called the cops and they guy was very cooperative. It only put a very small dent in the guys truck. We have a couple different companies coming to bid it today so it should be fixed soon. Oh, and the mail man has been very helpful in bringing our mail up to the front door. :) Here are a few pictures of the whole saga.

Burke's Room Construction
We have been working hard to complete a nursery for Burke and finally we're all done. Here are some shots of the progress and completed work. We hope he likes it.
Remember you can click on any one of these pictures to make them larger.
Goodbye Office.
Moved some wiring & patched some holes. Removed carpet & painted ceiling/walls.
Staining the oak base-boards. The lines already on the floor are from the staining of the original base-boards in 1968. Before Burke's Dad was born.
Installing the laminate flooring.
Loving the floor. We are so done with carpet and the germs/dirt it holds.
Preparing the wall for the world map mural. Abe, Rachel, & Stu installed the map in a few hours. Pretty easy really.
The last panel, and.....DONE!
"Where do you want to live Abe?" "Europe is funny." "What about you Stu?" "Someplace I can make this ridiculous face and not be laughed at."
Rachel's belly is as big as Brazil!
New dresser from KSL.
New crib from Darress & Bobbie. Thanks guys we miss you all the time.
Rachel enjoying the newly finished nursery. Smootcheroo!
Our little adventurer's new room!
Just throwing these in there cause they're cute.
